Estes Park Hours: The Larimer County Building Department is resuming pre-flood hours of operation in the Estes Valley and surrounding areas, effective Tuesday, November 12, 2013.
Removal of Placards: Building Official Fried states that Green "Inspected" placards, which indicated that structures were assessed as safe to occupy, can now be removed. For information on steps needed to correct conditions allowing the removal of Red "Unsafe" and Yellow "Restricted" placards, please call the County Building Department's Flood Line at (970) 498-7699, or email email@example.com.

The Building Department is recommending the adoption of the 2012 International Building Code with proposed amendments, all to be effective January 1, 2014. A hearing before the Larimer County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to occur on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the 1st Floor Hearing Room of the Larimer County Courthouse Offices at 200 W Oak Street, Fort Collins.

Search online to see if a contractor is licensed to do work in the unincorporated area of Larimer County. Go to: Larimer County Contractor License Search.
Effective March 1, 2013, permits for roof coverings applied for on or after this date will require a roofing certification form at the time of inspection for all areas of unincorporated Larimer County. This certification must be filled out by the owner or contractor doing the work. Previously, certifications were only required for high wind areas. Go to: Roofing Handout and Certification Form
