• Planned and Permitted Fires

  Larimer County residents can check daily to see where planned and permitted fires are due to take place through a map of planned open burns within the County. . If you see smoke in the area of one of the markers on the map, there is no need to report it since it is a planned and known burn.

• Proposed Amendments to the Land Use Code

  Amendments to the Larimer County Land Use Code to repeal and replace Section 8.5 Landscaping. The amendments will be heard by the Larimer County Planning Commission on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 6:30 pm and the Board of County Commissioners on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 3:00 pm. Both hearings will be held in the Hearing Room - 1st Floor of the the Larimer County Courthouse Offices.
  
  Amendments to the Larimer County Land Use Code - Sections 4.1.17 (B-Business), 4.1.18 (C-Commercial), 4.1.19 (I-Industrial), and 4.1.20 (I-1 Heavy Industrial) regarding multiple principal buildings in specific zoning districts. The amendments will be heard by the Larimer County Planning Commission on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 6:30 pm and the Board of County Commissioners on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 3:00 pm. Both hearings will be held in the Hearing Room - 1st Floor of the the Larimer County Courthouse Offices.

• Commissioners Adopt New Vision & Goals for County's Strategic Plan

  The Board of Larimer County Commissioners adopted their updated 5-year Vision & Goals, Phase I, for Larimer County. Input came from Larimer County elected officials, Community Leaders, citizens, and employees over a multi-month period. The refreshed Vision & Goals were created with a larger, more external ‘Community’ focus. The Objectives to come will define what role Larimer County government has in the Vision & Goals. • Amendments to the High Park Fire Rebuilding Program Resolution:

  The hearings to present several housekeeping amendments to the High Park Fire Rebuilding Program Resolution have been rescheduled. The amendments will be heard before the Larimer County Planning Commission and have been rescheduled from Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 6:30 pm to Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 6:30 pm. The amendments will also be heard before the Board of County Commissioners and have been rescheduled from Monday, May 13, 2013 at 3:00 pm. to Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 3:00 pm. Both hearings will take place in the Hearing Room - 1st Floor of the Larimer County Courthouse Offices.
