perform temporary repairs to hole #17 of the Estes Park Golf Course this winter/early spring and complete permanent repairs once the corridor design is complete. Now Larimer County and the Town of Estes Park are preparing to begin temporary repairs to Fish Creek Road beginning Monday, November 11, 2013.
Larimer County, the Town of Estes Park, the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District and the Upper Thompson Sanitation District are forming a joint partnership to coordinate a single unified effort to design and construct the permanent Fish Creek Corridor: Roadway and Utility improvements, including the multi-use trail. Once this partnership is formed a Request for Qualifications will be issued to select a design consultant to help with this effort. This will include a careful look at many competing design constraints and conditions and will include such complicated tasks such as deciding where Fish Creek will flow, where to position the road, , and what modifications should be considered to prevent future damage from a similar event. The agencies are cautiously optimistic that some of the permanent repairs could begin as early as summer/fall of 2014.
