We will be checking cameras weekly for wildlife presence and movements. This is the fourth year of the study. We have collected and analyzed the data and found interesting patterns. Honors students have produced approximately 20 articles using this data and we have taught up to 160 students about the research. The cameras are still being used but will be returned if they are retired. At that point, unfortunately, they are no longer useable. We will continue to use the tower service road to check cameras only if the weather is permitted and the road is safe. This project has no impact on the park or wildlife and all of our practices utilize leave no trace principles. This research is a non-invasive wildlife technique and has little or no impact on the wildlife. I will attach the up-to-date results of this study and would welcome a more in depth presentation of our findings at any time.
