Type of Event: Other
Location:
Horsetooth Reservoir

Description:
This event is a bass tournament with 50 teams participating (maximum per Mr. Caughlan) and we anticipate little or no impact on the natural environment, no impact on adjacent lands, and very little impact on parking since we basically utilize the area through the night and have left the area by 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. As teams check-in they are directed to buy the parks passes needed and proceed to the ANS Inspection Station. They are then allowed to launch and meet at 5:30 p.m. for the on-the-water safety/rules/live well inspection meeting. All participants must adhere to state and local laws, and CDPW regulations. An aerated tank system will be in place for the weigh-in and release boats will take fish back out and disperse them alive throughout the reservoir. No extra staff should be required for our event and existing rest room facilities should be adequate and all participants will carry out their own trash. Post event clean up will insure no reclamation will be needed at the event site (swim beach shelter area). If first aid is needed we have several EMT's who fish this event and a communication system set up for the entire event. We do stress safety first and foremost, such as night driving safety, out-of-bounds areas, and other risks/hazards. Insurance coverage is required for each boat ($100,000) and Larimer County will be included as additional insured under our $1,000,000 B.A.S.S. Insurance policy. This will be our Fifteenth Annual event and we thank you for your cooperation and partnership through out the years. Thank you for considering our request.
