The Harvest Farm in Wellington
Crop Maze - We plan to operate the maze from October 4 -October 27, 2013 from as early as 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM depending on the day of the week. There will be a total of no more than 12 operating days. The corn maze will cover approx. 10 acres in the southern crop field. Emergency assistance and staffing availability will not change (Larimer County Sheriff's Deputy on duty in Wellington and Wellington Fire Protection District). No change to the Health Department licensed concessions and approved sanitation plan. No change regarding access to and from County Road 66. No change regarding parking. Our hope is this maze is to raise awareness of Harvest Farm and its rehabilitation program that might yield referrals, donors and volunteers, as well as provide additional recreation for the many youth groups, scouting groups and local school groups that volunteer and/or visit the Farm's State approved and exempt camp facility. The event is an earned revenue producer for the Denver Rescue Mission through admission, merchandise and concession sales. The maze also serves as an agriculturally related educational event.
