Rural Recycling Drop-Offs

Please see below for what materials are accepted at each drop-off, and see a detailed description of how to correctly prepare your recyclables. It's important that all of us recycle correctly to avoid contaminating the recyclables. Contaminated loads waste time, money and resources. Berthoud

Location: At the Berthoud Transfer Station, south of Highway 56 off County Line Road, east of the gun club.
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays only
Accepted: Commingled containers (glass bottles and jars, aluminum and steel cans, most plastic containers numbered 1-7), newspapers PLUS (includes magazines, catalogs and junk mail), corrugated cardboard and brown paper bags.

Location: 455 Elm Road (at the transfer station)
Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from October 1 through April 30
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday in May and September
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday in June, July and August
