Larimer County Offices, Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are all closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015.
County Offices are also closed on Friday, November 27 while the Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are open. Critical services at Larimer County will not be disrupted by this closure.
The chart below shows the prices received by the Larimer County Recycling Center for the various types of recyclables processed there. Prices fluctuate constantly, and the chart shows the prices at just one point in time. Still, from this you can easily see how the market values for different recyclables compare. For instance, aluminum tends to command the highest prices per ton, with paper products getting lower prices. (Of course, it takes a lot of aluminum to equal a ton, compared with, say, newspaper!)
PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastics include items such as soda and other drink bottles.
HDPE-N (high density polyethylene-natural) includes milk jugs and other similar "natural-colored" containers.
HDPE-C (high density polyethylene-colored) includes brightly colored items such as laundry detergent bottles.
