SCOPE OF WORK

The project includes the repair of the severely eroded north abutment and road approach on this bridge over the Little Thompson River just south of Berthoud. The work includes backfilling under and around the abutment, placing large riprap and gabions for abutment and pier protection and reconstructing the destroyed road north of the abutment. This project is funded with FEMA flood recovery funds.

Project Budget: $400,000

PROJECT STATUS

The final design is complete. Right-of-way acquisition is underway. Construction bids were opened on March 20. Defalco Construction Company of Longmont was awarded the contract with a low bid of $362,926.49. Construction is scheduled from April through mid June, of 2014. The project is complete except for reclamation work at the staging area in the River Glen Subdivision that will happen this fall.
