In some cases, an applicant may want to propose a standard that is different from the minimum standards and requirements of the Code. In other cases, an applicant may want to appeal a decision or interpretation that they believe was made in error.
Section 22 of the Land Use Code provides review processes and criteria to be used for appeals of the standards and requirements of the Code, as well as for appeals of decisions made in administration, interpretation or enforcement of the Code. Depending on the specific circumstances and Code sections in question, appeals are heard by either the Board of County Commissioners or the Board of Adjustment.
