Park situation

 River Bluffs is OPEN.

Restrooms and drinking water are not available until further notice, due to a broken water line along the county road.  The bathroom and water fountain will be turned back on when the water district fixes the line.

For Natural Resources, events and activities, check out the events calendar.

Trail conditions - OPEN.

River access (including fishing, floating, etc.) downstream of the parking lot is OPEN.

Wildlife
Mule deer, white-tailed deer, fox, and coyotes can all be seen wandering through this area. There is a prairie dog colony on the east side of the open space. The prairie dogs are a consistent food source for the raptors including the local bald eagles.

Bird sightings
Great horned owls, red-tailed hawks, and bald eagles are residents of River Bluffs Open Space. Various waterfowl enjoy the habitat of the Poudre River including wood ducks, teal, shovelers, mallards, and mergansers.

Weather conditions can change rapidly. Dress in layers, carry extra clothing, and be prepared for cold and wet weather.
