Hypothermia death in Loveland, Colorado

On December 10, 2013 I was paged to respond to Sugar Valley Estates Independent Living Residences, Loveland, Colorado regarding a man who was found deceased outdoors.

The decedent has been identified as Robert Kopher, DOB 9/25/22 of Loveland, Colorado. The decedent was pronounced dead on December 10, 2013.  Investigation reveals late PM on December 9th the decedent was unable to enter the facility or his vehicle due to confusion and suffered from hypothermia due to extreme cold temperatures. 

An autopsy was performed and the Manner of Death is determined to be Accident.  Cause of Death is determined to be hypothermia.

There was no sign of foul play.
