Larimer County Offices, Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are all closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015.
County Offices are also closed on Friday, November 27 while the Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are open.
Critical services at Larimer County will not be disrupted by this closure.

Larimer County utilized a website information resource for High Park fire survivors, and plans to follow the same format for assisting our flood survivors. Information regarding Larimer County Flood Relief and Recovery is available at: http://larimer.org/flooding2013. This website is continuously updated with information including; short term relief and recovery assistance, survivor registry/survivor locator services, community resources, Disaster Assistance Center and distribution center locations and hours, public meetings, FEMA registration, roads closures, grants and loans, clean-up information, rebuilding/structures information, large animal resources, volunteer/donation information, and map data.
On September 17th the website was updated with the following information:
The Larimer County/Loveland Distribution Center hours are 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. daily. The Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) at 815 14th St SW, Loveland hours will currently be:
- 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18 – Friday, Sept. 20
- 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21
- Noon – 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22
- 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., daily through Monday, Sept. 30
The United States Postal System has made the following locations available as alternate mail locations for residents of Masonville, Drake, Glen Haven, and Estes Park:
- Masonville Residents/ Postal Code 80541 – Mail is located at the Loveland Post Office, 449 E. 29th Street, (970) 663-3010
- Drake Residents/Postal Code 80515, Glen Haven Residents/Postal Code 80532, and Estes Park, Residents/Postal Code 80517 - mail is at the Grand Lake Post Office, 520 Center Dr., (970) 627-3340
United Policyholders, a national non-profit consumer advocate group for insurance holders, was instrumental in assisting Larimer County High Park fire survivors negotiate the insurance process. Larimer County hopes to utilize the expertise of UP again to assist our citizens understand the complex flood insurance process.
Subscription to the Larimer County website will continue to be the most comprehensive source of recovery information. Larimer County Recovery Manager Suzanne Bassinger stated “Flood recovery is going to be a long and complex process and we are going to rely on our website presence to keep as much up-to-date information as we can in front of our citizens.
