Updated Status - Larimer County-managed Parks and Open Spaces

 River Bluffs Open Space, Lions Open Space, and Eagle’s Nest Open Space have been opened to public use as flood damage has been assessed. 

 
The updated status on areas managed by the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources follows:
 
Reservoirs:
Horsetooth Reservoir: open for day use, boating, and camping. (See boating/ANS inspection hours below.)
Carter Lake:  open for day use, boating, and camping (See boating/ANS inspection hours below.)
Pinewood Reservoir: open for day use, wakeless-speed boating, and camping
Flatiron Reservoir: open for day use and camping (no boating allowed)
 
Open Spaces open for day use
Devil’s Backbone Open Space, Blue Sky Trail, Eagle’s Nest Open Space, Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, Lions Open Space, Ramsay-Shockey Open Space, Red Mountain Open Space, River Bluffs Open Space.
 
Volunteer for flood-related restoration projects on Larimer County’s parks and open spaces by contacting Pam Mayhew, Volunteer Coordinator, pmayhew@larimer.org or 679-4552.

      Carter Lake:
                  September 20 - October 31
                              South Ramp: Closed due to water levels
                              North Ramp: Open 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. 7 days a week
                              North Pines Ramp: Open Wednesday - Sunday 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. 
                                                            (Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, excluding holidays)
 
                  November 1 - Date undetermined at this time
                              South Ramp: Closed due to water levels
                              North Ramp: Open Wednesday – Sunday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
                              North Pines Ramp:                              
                              Closed for Season
 
Horsetooth Reservoir:     
                  September 20 - October 31
                              South Bay Ramp: Open 6 a.m.-10 p.m., 7 days a week
                              Inlet Bay Ramp: Open 6 a.m. - 10 p.m., 7 days a week
                              Satanka Ramp: Open Friday-Sunday, 6 a.m.- 10 p.m.
