- Receives general guidance from the Director or Assistant Director of Community Health Services.
- Exercises direct supervision over professional and paraprofessional personnel.
- Administer, supervise, and coordinate health care services provided by subordinate personnel.
- Assign, direct, and supervise activities of assigned staff, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards; administer or make recommendations for routine personnel matters affecting subordinates, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, scheduling work hours, granting leave, appraising performance, disciplining, and submitting such records and reports as required by County policies and procedures.
- Monitor program efficiency and effectiveness; recommend and implement administrative or procedural changes as appropriate.
- Develop and manage the budget; review and approve expenditures for assigned programs and services.
- Write and review grant proposals.
- Coordinate and meet with other health care providers to ensure the delivery of effective, comprehensive services.
- Maintain and update a variety of records, files, and program reports pertaining to assigned services.
- Respond to questions and concerns from patients, community agencies, and the general public.
- Provide direct health care and instruction to patients when needed.
- Represent assigned programs at various committees, professional organizations, community agencies, and conferences as assigned.
- May participate in emergency preparedness and response activities.

- Three years of increasingly responsible experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a school accredited by the CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or NLNAC (National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission).
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Colorado Driver's License.
- Licensed to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado.
- Maintain continuing education hours annually, or as required by the Department, and obtain certificates/training necessary for specific programs.
