A formal application process was set up to select participants for the Horse Business Facility Regulations Study Working Group. The Board of County Commissioners made the appointments. The Working Group consisted of individuals representing the following interest groups:
- Current Business Owners/Operators
- Representatives from Organizations/Associations/Facility Users
- Neighboring Properties Representatives
- Equine Professional Service Providers
Meetings of the volunteer Working Group were held monthly during 2009. They began in late March and continued through the summer and fall. The study process has been extended into 2010 to accommodate input from County staff, the Planning Commission and the public.
