COUNTY ROAD 11C BRIDGE REPLACEMENT IN DESIGN

SCOPE OF WORK

The project includes the replacement of this deteriorating and load posted steel bridge over the spillway between Horseshoe Reservoir and Boyd Lake on County Road 11C north of Loveland. Approximately 300 feet of roadway will be reconstructed around the bridge with the project. This project is funded through a federal bridge grant.

Project Budget: $700,000

PROJECT STATUS

The design was revised to allow the structure to also function as a future high level outlet facility for the reservoir company. Final design is complete. Utility relocation coordination is complete. Construction bids were opened on January 9. New Design Construction was the low bidder at 711,616.88. Construction began March 3 and the road was opened to traffic on August 9. The grouting of the gate seals is underway. This work and seeding should be finished in two weeks,
