Larimer County Elections hires election judges to:
- Issue ballots, check voter identification and operate computerized poll books at vote centers and early voting sites;
- Process mail-in ballots;
- Count ballots; and
- Watch ballot boxes, transport supplies and assist in our warehouse.
Larimer County accepts new election judge applications year-round. To qualify, you must be a registered voter in Larimer County, meet several benchmarks set forth by state law and be able to perform the demands of the job. In addition, you must attend a training class prior to the election.
Larimer County pays $90 for working Election Day and $20 for attending a mandatory class of instruction. Some temporary positions are paid hourly.
