What these data tell us:
With the exception of White (not Hispanic), the percentages of students from each racial/ethnic group were higher than those of teachers in the 2010-11 school year. It should be noted that Black students represented 1.2% of student enrollment, while Black teachers represented only 0.2% of all teachers in Larimer County (538 students to 5 teachers). Students of Two or More Races (88:1) were the next most overrepresented followed by Hispanic (73:1), Asian or Pacific Islander (72:1) and American Indian (62:1).What this chart shows: Teachers by Race/Ethnicity and Gender, School Districts in Larimer County, 2010-11

What these data tell us:
In 2009-10, Larimer County teachers were predominately White (not Hispanic) and female. The only teacher minority population with significant representation was Hispanic. In general, the female to male educator ratio was approximately three female teachers to one male.None of the minority teacher groups comes close to reflecting the overall proportions found in the general population.
