The Condition of Education 2009: Educational Attainment [pdf] (June 2009) - This report from the U.S. Department of Education states that in 2008., 88% of 25- to 29-year olds received at least a High School diploma or equivalency certificate, a 10 percentage point increase from 1971. In addition, between 1971 and 2008, the gap in High School completion rates between Blacks and Whites decreased from 23 percentage points to 6 percentage points.

- Measuring Up 2006 [pdf] - (September 2006), a report produced by the National Center for Public Policy & Higher Education, grades all 50 states in areas of performance related to higher education. According to the Colorado State Report Card [pdf], we have consistently been a top performer in the proportions of students taking and scoring well on college entrance exams. - Facts & Figures from the Colorado Literacy Research Initiative [pdf] - More than a quarter million Coloradoans need English as a Second Language (ESL) programs, according to this February 2004 fact sheet. The Colorado Literacy Research Initiative examined trends among adults who speak a language other than English at home and their need for ESL programs.
