What the above data tell us:

During the last ten years, the average rate of County Court filings in Larimer County was 134.1 per 1,000 adults. Since FY 2006, when the filing rate peaked at 153.2, overall filings have decreased 28.3%.

Traffic filings were responsible for 23.7% of all County Court filings in Larimer County in FY 2012. Traffic filings have also seen the largest decrease (49.1%) since FY 2006 when they peaked at 51.2 per 1,000 adults. Infraction filings decreased 39.5% during this same time period and misdemeanor filings decreased 17.2%.

What the above data tell us:

DUI filings are not broken down by county, so the above rates are for the entire 8th Judicial District (Jackson and Larimer Counties). Since FY2003, total DUI filings have decreased 46.7%.

NOTE: It is possible a small number of juveniles (age 16 to 18) were charged as adults which might have a very small impact on the overall rate since the adult population (18 and over) was used to calculate the rate.
