The Larimer County Alternative Sentencing Department (formerly the Alternative Sentencing Unit) finds alternatives to jail time for persons convicted of nonviolent crimes. The following programs are examples of alternative sentencing in Larimer County:

What the above data tell us:

The Community Service program had the highest percentage (62.5%) of offenders of the four Alternative Sentencing programs, followed by the Work Release program (18.6%).

The two programs showing the greatest variation in participants from 2003 to 2012 were Work Release (+225%) and Workender (-51%).
