Larimer County Offices, Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are all closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015.
County Offices are also closed on Friday, November 27 while the Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are open. Critical services at Larimer County will not be disrupted by this closure.
In April 2006, the Board of Larimer County Commissioners approved a proposal to waive double building permit application fees under certain conditions. The add-on fee of $380 for setback variances for existing structures was eliminated as well. Although an owner will still need to pay regular fees associated with a building permit for existing structures, the waiver will provide some assistance. Owners may need to hire licensed professionals to evaluate work completed without a required permit or inspection approval.
The 2006 International Residential Code Adoption will be amend Section R108.8 Work Commencing before permit issuance to, " any person who commences any work on a building, structure, gas, mechanical, electrical or plumbing system before obtaining the necessary permits may shall be subject to an additional fee equal to the permit fee".Those wishing to take advantage of the double building permit application fee waiver must meet one of the following criteria.
