County Offices and Courts will be closed on Monday, February 15, 2016 in observance of the President's Day Holiday. The Landfill will be open. Critical services at Larimer County are not disrupted by closures.
Scott Doyle is the Clerk and Recorder in Larimer County Colorado. His tenure with Larimer County began in 1995, and he was Chief Deputy Clerk and Recorder from October 2000 until being elected Clerk and Recorder in November 2002. He was reelected to a second term as Clerk and Recorder in November 2006.
Scott carries a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He is Certified in Public Administration, with an emphasis on the public official; and in 2005, he completed the Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA) program through The Election Center/Auburn University-the highest certification available in the area of elections administration.
During his time as Clerk, Scott has created and developed the Vote Center concept - from inception to passage of Senate Bill 153 in the 2004 legislative session, making it available as a voting option for all of Colorado. He has also created and developed the Citizen Information Center in Larimer County - a one-stop-shop located on the first floor of the courthouse office building for the convenience of citizens.
In January 2006, Scott was recognized by the United States Congress for "unrivaled commitment to public service." In 2005, the National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks (NACRC) named him "Public Official of the Year" and awarded him the "Election Administration Best Practices Award." He has been an active participant on the Colorado Secretary of State's Blue Ribbon Panel on Election Reform and is the Chair of the Colorado County Clerks Association Legislative Committee. Scott remains active with various committees pertinent to elections, motor vehicle and recording issues.
