County Offices, Courts, and the Landfill will all be closed on Monday, May 30, 2016 for the Memorial Day Holiday. Critical services at Larimer County are not disrupted by closures.

Minutes of January 15, 2014
The Larimer County Planning Commission met in a regular session on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. in the Hearing Room. Commissioners’ Christman, Cox, Dougherty, Gerrard, Jensen, Wallace, and Zitti were present. Commissioner Miller was absent. Commissioner Glick presided as Chairman. Also present were Matt Lafferty, Principle Planner, Terry Gilbert, Planning and Building Services Director, Clint Jones, Engineering Department, Traci Shambo, Engineering Department, Doug Ryan, Health Department, and Jill Wilson, Recording Secretary.
The Planning Commission went on a site visit to Lyons Fire Department Location and Extent.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FOR THE DECEMBER 18, 2013 MEETING: MOTION by Commissioner Cox approve the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Dougherty. This received unanimous voice approval.
AMENDMENTS TO THE AGENDA:
ITEM #1 LYONS FIRE DEPARTMENT LOCATION AND EXTENT #13-Z1922 : Mr. Helmick provided background information on the request for a new 5000 square foot fire station to replace the fire station destroyed in the 2013 flooding. The building will include four bays for equipment as well as office and meeting/training space which can function as a “community space” as well. A cistern and a septic system would also serve the facility. The site was located on County Road 37E, approximately one mile north of the County line and would need to go through the minor land division process before the Board of County Commissioners to create the 2 acre site.
Commissioner Cox moved that the Planning Commission adopt the following Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission approve the Lyons Fire Department Location and Extent, file #13-Z1922, subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant shall complete and have approved the Minor Land Division prior to commencing any construction at the site.
2. The applicant shall complete the required Site Plan Review prior to commencing any construction at the site.
3. The applicant shall obtain both a Development Construction Permit and Building permit to construct the use at this site.
Commissioner Dougherty seconded the Motion.
Commissioners’ Christman, Cox, Dougherty, Gerrard, Jensen, Wallace, Zitti and Chairman Glick voted in favor of the Motion.
MOTION PASSED: 8-0
REPORT FROM STAFF: Mr. Lafferty reminded the Commission of their upcoming meetings.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the hearing adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
