MINUTES OF THE LARIMER COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

(February 22, 2011)

 

            The regular meeting of the Larimer County Board of Adjustment was held in the County Board Hearing Room in the Larimer County Courthouse Offices, Fort Collins, Colorado at 7:00 p.m., February 22, 2011, at which time the following business was transacted. 

 

Board Members Present:         Jeffrey Schneider, Peter Bohling, Alan Cram, Paul Devenny, and Timothy Jaworski

 

Staff Present:                          Staff members Toby Stauffer, County Planner, Traci Shambo, Senior Civil Engineer, and William Ressue, Senior Assistant County Attorney

 

Minutes:  Peter Bohling moved and Paul Devenny seconded the Motion to approve the January 22, 2011, Minutes of the Larimer County Board of Adjustment as presented.  Board members Jeffrey Schneider, Peter Bohling, Alan Cram, Paul Devenny, and Timothy Jaworski voted in favor of the Motion.  The Minutes were unanimously approved.

 

Findings and Resolutions:  Peter Bohling moved and Jeffrey Schneider seconded the Motion to approve the following Findings and Resolutions: Cole Setback Variance (#10-BOA0839) and Kaltenberger Setback Variance (#10-BOA0838)  Board members Jeffrey Schneider, Peter Bohling, Alan Cram, Paul Devenny, and Timothy Jaworski voted in favor of the Motion.

 

Applications:

 

File No: #11-BOA0840  (Shirk/Nelson Setback Variance)

Owner/Applicant:       Dana Shirk

Request:  The Application of Dana Shirk, requesting a variance was presented to the Board.  The Application requested a setback variance to allow construction of a new garage that will be located 10 feet from the north (rear) property line in the R-Residential zone.

 

Action:  Peter Bohling moved and Paul Devenny seconded the Motion to approve the Application with conditions.  Board members Jeffrey Schneider, Peter Bohling, Alan Cram, Paul Devenny, and Timothy Jaworski voted in favor of the Motion.  The Application was approved with conditions. 

 

 

File No: #11-BOA0841  (Scheck Setback Variance)

Owners/Applicants:     Richard and Sally Scheck

Request:  The Application of Richard and Sally Scheck, requesting a variance was presented to the Board.  The Application requested a setback variance to allow removal of an old house and construction of a new house, 65 feet from the centerline of East County Road 30, rather than the required  minimum of 110 feet for arterial roads in the AP-Airport zone.

 

 

 

 

 

Action:  Peter Bohling moved and Paul Devenny seconded the Motion to approve the Application with conditions.  Board members Jeffrey Schneider, Peter Bohling, Alan Cram, Paul Devenny, and Timothy Jaworski voted in favor of the Motion.  The Application was approved with conditions. 

 

Adjournment:  The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
