Larimer County Offices, Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are all closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015.
County Offices are also closed on Friday, November 27 while the Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are open. Critical services at Larimer County will not be disrupted by this closure.

Members present: David Bee, Curtis Bridges, LuAnn Goodyear, Lew Grant, Debra Herston, Gail Meisner, John Rankin, George Reed, Mike Salaz, Richard Seaworth, Jon Slutsky, Zach Thode, and George Wallace. Others present: Jennifer Bornhoft (CSU, ARDEC), Karen Crumbaker (CSU Extension liaison) , Brenda Gimeson (Staff liaison, Larimer County Planning & Building Division), Charles Gindler (Larimer County Department of Natural Resources liaison). Guest: Nolan Doesken, CSU, Myrna Hansen and Doug Ryan, Larimer County Department of Health, Laura Tyler, Fort Collins Conservation District, and Brad Rhoda, Harvest Farm.
Member absent: Val Manning.
I. Curtis Bridges called the meeting to order at 12:35 p.m.
II. The January 9, 2013 AAB Meeting Minutes were approved.
III. Group activity to get acquainted.
IV. Working committee reported back to the group. LuAnn Goodyear mentioned the AAB bumper sticker idea. Further discussion will take place at the next meeting.

VI. Myrna Hansen and Doug Ryan, Larimer County Department of Health and Environment, provided information on open burning requirements and guidelines in Larimer County. Information and a burn application can be obtained on the County’s webpage at: http://www.larimer.org/burnpermit/
VII. Brad Rhoda, Harvest Farm, Wellington, Colorado gave an overview of the agri-toursim piece of the working farm. Harvest Farm is part of the Denver Rescue Mission. It is a 209 acre working farm and treatment facility to rehabilitate men with drug and alcohol additions. In 2012, 10,000 people visited the farm during the months in which there is a corn maze. The farms also does vegetable farming, natural beef sales, and new this year a CSA on the farm.
VIII. Richard Seaworth brought up concerns with Boxelder Flood Authority’s interest in building a reservoir on three farms in Larimer County. Discussion took place on the proposed farms and if Boxelder Flood Authority would condemn the property to build a reservoir. It was decided to table the discussion until the next meeting.
IX. Zach Thode discussed the United Fresh Produce Association, Food Safety Modernization Act Produce Safety Working Group Meeting that took place on March 8, 2013. Subpart E, Standards Directed to Agricultural Water, detailed the section of the act that dealt with the quality of agricultural water in food safety.
XI. The next AAB meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. at the CSU Larimer County Extension Office, 1525 Blue Spruce Drive, Fort Collins, CO.
