Changing Aspen Leaves - RMNP

Larimer County Offices, Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are all closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015.
County Offices are also closed on Friday, November 27 while the Courts, District Attorney, Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste, and Recycle Center are open. Critical services at Larimer County will not be disrupted by this closure.






Members present:  Susanne Cordery-Cotter, Andre Duval, Will Wade, Cordelia Stone,  Paul Ressegune &Ed Ott.

Chair – Susanne called the meeting to order @7:00 PM


Agenda was adopted as written.

Minutes were adopted with changes.


Committee Member Communications:

            Sussanne – Went over the Brown Stone Quarry neighborhood meeting. The quarry would expand from 10 acres to 30. The neighbors that were at the meeting were all in favor of the expansion.

            Paul – Requested that LAPAC members show up 15 minutes early to set up chairs at the Tapestry House.


            The next regular meeting has been moved form June 17th to June 19th.


Larimer County Communications:

            Jill – LAPAC was presented with a draft of the county’s proposed 1049 Regulation Code. Location & extent review process is needed. Water, sever and gas lines will be covered. Only large transmission lines are covered.


            Andre made a motion to recommend approval of the 1049 Regulation code with the changes to follow.

            Will second the motion.

Pass unanimously.














Comments regarding Draft 1041 Regulation


The 1041 Regulation and designating power plants and electrical transmission lines is a good start but would like other items designated also.  Do not want to expand the authority only after the “horse has left the barn.”




P. 2, 14.4

Add H. The board shall have the authority to add additional matters of state interest to apply to a specific project.


P. 8, 14.11.3

Add i.  The facility must use the best currently available science to protect wildlife.
