- Why should I file online?
There are several reasons why you would want to use this tool:
- Less paperwork for your office
- This tool is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- This tool allows the Assessor's Office to process your declaration schedule more efficiently.
- What if my list of assets has not changed from the previous year's declaration schedule?
Go to the
Personal Property Online Account Detail. Enter your Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and Schedule Number, view your assets, and click the box that indicates "No Changes" from last year's declaration schedule. Select the Submit for Review button.
- What if I can't log in?
If your FEIN is not recognized it will not allow you into the system. It may not be on file in our office or may be registered incorrectly. You may fax your FEIN number on Company Letterhead to the Personal Property Department at (970) 498-7070.
- I report my assets in summary or bulk format. Can I change the quantity or value on a Detail ID line?
No, the Personal Property Online tool does not support that operation. However, you may attach any additional documentation or an excel sheet to your online filing to indicate these changes. Please keep in mind when adding an asset in the additions section and entering a quantity of more than one, it will be multiplied by the original cost (each) entered in the box.
- I prefer not to file online. Do I have any other options?
