Self-serve permit stations are not available at this reservoir; permits must be purchased at the north or south entrance of Carter Lake.
Fishing has been active. Pinewood was recently stocked with 10" trout. The limit for trout is four (4) per person with no size requirement. The limit for tiger muskie is one (1) per person, and it must be 36" in length or larger.

Attention campers: If you do not have a reservation for a campsite, you will need to visit the Larimer County Administrative Office at 1800 South County Road 31 to purchase your campsite during the following hours:
• Saturday-Thursday - 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Friday - 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Camping fees will no longer be accepted at your campsite. A reservation for camping is highly recommended.

Camping reservations may now be made from 1-180 days in advance.
Mule deer and elk are plentiful this time of year. Please drive carefully as wildlife often gather near the roads.
